Dr. Pegah Khosravi
Assistant Professor of Biomedical AI, City Tech & the CUNY Graduate Center
Dr. Pegah Khosravi is an Assistant Professor at CUNY Graduate Center and New York City College of Technology (CityTech), where she focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in the biomedical field. Specializing in ensemble learning, multimodal models, and explainable AI, Pegah is dedicated to advancing AI-based frameworks and pipelines.
Her academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Tehran, followed by postdoctoral work at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM). Furthering her expertise, she worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medicine, specializing in deep learning for medical image analysis.
At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Pegah expanded her research to include radiology imaging and the development of AI frameworks for multimodal analysis. Her tenure-track position at City Tech and her involvement with the CUNY Graduate Center's Biology and Computer Science PhD programs have allowed her to expand her projects and further her commitment to education and innovation.
Pegah founded the BioMind AI Lab to mentor emerging talent in Biomedical AI research. As Deputy Editor for the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (JMRI), she contributes to the future of AI research.
Outside of academia, Pegah enjoys crafting AI-focused stories, blending her passion for narrative with her expertise in AI.
