Aaron Korngiebel is the Vice President of Workforce Innovation and Economic Advancement at
De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. Serving as the institution’s Chief Workforce Officer, he leads
workforce funding initiatives and related student support services, while driving new program
development, industry engagement, and experiential learning opportunities.
Previously, Aaron was Dean of Business and Social Sciences at Foothill College in Los Altos
Hills, CA, where he oversaw 16 academic departments spanning transfer, career, and technical
pathways. His leadership background also includes over a decade within the Seattle Colleges
District, most recently as Dean of Workforce Instruction at North Seattle College, where he
directed all professional-technical instructional programs and applied bachelor’s degrees.
Aaron holds a B.A. and M.A. in History from Boise State University and pursued doctoral studies
in History at the University of Arizona. He is also a community college graduate, having earned
a Certificate in Winemaking from South Seattle College.
