Yiannis Maos is a technology entrepreneur and business leader with more than 20 years of experience applying AI, data, and technology to help organisations grow, transform, and make better decisions.

He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unloq, a decision intelligence company that helps leadership teams turn fragmented business data into trusted insights, identify opportunities for value creation, and make better-informed strategic and operational decisions.

Earlier in his career, Yiannis helped scale Rant & Rave, an early AI business that worked with around half of the FTSE 100 and was subsequently acquired for £55 million. His experience spans startup, scale-up, and large corporate environments, giving him a practical understanding of the commercial, organisational, and technology challenges leadership teams face when adopting AI.

Yiannis later founded TechWM, where he helped strengthen the West Midlands technology ecosystem and established Birmingham Tech Week, now the UK’s largest regional technology festival. His work has supported businesses in raising more than £100 million and contributed to the growth of a regional technology sector now valued at over £16 billion.

In 2023, Yiannis was awarded an MBE for services to the technology sector, and in 2025, Aston University conferred on him an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration.
