Alegra Lozano is the Director of Counseling and an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Honors College. She has two decades of professional experience in teaching, learning assistance, advising, student mentoring, and curriculum development. She holds two degrees in Psychology and Counseling, and is passionate about applied learning and innovative teaching techniques. Through strategic initiatives that focus on student success, she has built partnerships which cultivate workforce development that align curriculum with direct transferrable and marketable classroom to career skills, and she has implemented strategies which have increased student engagement, retention, and graduation outcomes.
